I am so happy I found El Huarachito on yelp. I was looking for Mexican food for a party we are having at work. David (one of the owners quoted me a price) and then I asked if I could sample one enchilada because anyone would tell you I'm probably one of the pickiest person on planet earth lol. David assured me that the enchiladas were very good and I told him I will come that day for a taste taste. Upon arrival, I was kindly greeted by David and his wife Esther with smiles and offered a seat. The restaurant was busy so I just knew the food had to be good and this was a popular restaurant. Esther served me one red enchilada and one green enchilada. These were probably some of the best enchiladas I've ever had. They were very delicious and in the words of my 6yo daughter "bussin bussin" lol. They told me the enchiladas were on the house and were so kind and genuine. I tried to offer a tip and neither David nor Esther would take my money. I can tell this couple is so passionate about their restaurant and customers. Needless to say I placed my order for my work party and can't wait to share this hidden gem with my work team. Thank you David and Esther, you guys have a new frequent customer. 10/10 would recommend!

This is a staple in Lincoln heights , they've been around for a while , I still remember the first time I ate here , torta de asada so good it ! Still the same, sit down or order out , it does gets super packed here , parking in the front but usually hard to find so you have to go around the corner . Service for me has been nice , not sure if they speak English but I always order in Spanish ! Family friendly ! Recently went for guacamole , mole enchiladas and my bf got machaca , loved both of them ! Guacamole was very taste . Mole sauce was on point ! Machaca was plentiful and very tasty... not sure if tortillas were handmade but they were so good !! A must check out in the neighborhood!

I went for the first time over a month ago and couldn't wait to bring my husband back. I was like, "This food taste like grandma made it at home!" I've gone for early breakfast twice now and it did not miss!!!! He was impressed as well . The lady that serves is the sweetest, she really just feels like family and I don't even know her name! 10/10

Went here once again and tried the menudo this time and it was absolutely delicious. Very clean and the tripe was the good stuff not the cheap oily stuff. My woman said the chile rellenos was the best she's had since her mother's RIP. The owner is very down to earth and motherly as she greets her customers and makes them feel at home. Cash only btw.

Saw this on a reel on Instagram. Passing by so we stopped. Wife ordered taquitos assortment, papas, chicken, beef with rice and beans. I had Chile relleno burrito, wet. Just like moms home cooking. The very best! Cash only

Service is so attentive and promptly. Food is finger licking good. Chicharon verde is really good. So are the menudo and the pozole y caldo de pollo!!

Small "hole-in-the-wall" family-owned place in Lincoln Heights serving up delicious Mexican food. Everything is good and portions are generous. "Authentic" ambiance and the service is just fine, too. They have daily specials and the mole seems to be very popular. Parking might be a challenge and it's "cash only", so be forewarned. Recommended.
